Progress Report
Added 2018-07-27 14:29:49 +0000 UTCAs we move closer to the end of the month, I find myself rapidly running out of time. Luckily, what's left to do is relatively straightforward with little actual writing but lots of code juggling and rendering.
I've been working on a new scene that builds upon a previously explored game mechanic (being vague here to keep some surprise for later), and it's clear that I've learned a lot since the last time I did this. I'm really pleased with how these latest renders have turned out and can't wait to see it all in action.
The image folder for 0.11 currently counts 124 renders, but this is not the final tally, and it doesn't include certain other, smaller renders that are also part of this update. The number of renders doesn't actually represent gameplay length as much as it represents a large selection of player choice. I'm taking it further than usual with this update, which means that some images come in as many as 7 different variations. It can get a little tricky to playtest something like this, but I'm doing my best.
Apart from that, I don't have much else to add. We're roughly a week away from release now, so there's not much waiting to do.
By the way, I've had some reports that some of you are struggling to connect to the Discord channel or that you aren't assigned the correct roles. This appears to be a recent problem with the Patreon/Discord integration and isn't something I can directly influence. However, it seems that closing Discord completely, disconnecting your Patreon and Discord accounts from each other, then reconnecting them, might solve the issue. You might also have to wait a few hours after doing this. Let me know if any of you are still experiencing problems after attempting this solution.
Until next time!
