Fey Court Achieved

Woohoo! We did it, everyone! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We reached the $2000 goal, which means that the game's scope is getting expanded. Let's talk about what that means in more detail.

The Fey Court

Before hitting this goal, the game would have mostly stayed inside the confines of the town you are all familiar with by now. Now, however, we are going to start exploring the massive forests to the east, forests that are under the dominion of the fey races. The Fey Court itself is the heart of their domain, and the exotic races here are growing concerned about a certain fledgling spellcaster. The races of man and fey maintain a delicate peace between each other, but a prophecy of doom, with you at the center of it, is threatening to throw the races into all-out warfare. Somehow, this all ties into the coming arrival of Princess Selena, but what does it all mean?

From a gameplay perspective, the fey races will function a little differently from the people you have met in the game so far. Your spells are unlikely to work on them, and they know exactly what you are capable of. New girls will be introduced that are far more exotic than the humans you know, though I will keep the details secret until later. For now, I'll just add one little tease relevant to one upcoming girl: Dryads.

The $3500 Goal

This one is still far away, but if growth continues the way it has so far, we might very well reach it. I haven't really talked about it until now, so allow me to briefly explain what my plans are for the so-called Side Stories. Side Stories are somewhat standalone. You'd learn a spell that you could cast, under certain conditions, on people you meet to see their past experiences with your own eyes. Some of the things you learn through this could be relevant to uncovering people's secrets, but this depends on how soon we reach the goal. The main point, however, is to offer some variety and to expand the story. My concept for Side Stories would have you unlock them through the aforementioned spell, but once unlocked, you should be able to experience the side story again from the main menu.
