Sorry for all the comments. Still on Aespa recording. We've all heard horror stories about idols being scolded for tiny mistakes and figuratively beaten till they get it right. I know that may be ages ago, but it warms the heart to see Aespa, who are still very young ladies, have a good time doing what they do. It's never a cake walk, they always have to put the work in. Nothing is really handed to them, apart from the amazing songs. They still have to learn to sing them and dance to them. And I know that's every idol's job, but the way I see it: rather than being scolded or talked down to while trying your best, SM is making them do their best, want to do their best, want to work for it, and reward their hard work. I don't know anything about any other company, but the way they are working with Aespa just makes Me feel like their future is only going to continue getting better. Call Me an SM fanboy, but when two of your three supreme faves are from that company, it makes sense. (Fyi Red Velvet is my ult, Mamamoo second and Aespa third)

There is just no denying it, at least concerning Aespa and Red Velvet. (Which are the only groups I follow). The environment and all around vibe is comfortable and make the artists feel free to add their own ideas and quickly adjust to the producers ideas. Good job Aespa, the producer and SM!

I'm so glad I fully get aespa now and they can be added to the SM groups I stan hardcore! This era really is special. Still haven't heard the album though! I get what you mean about ATEEZ. Those last two were EPIC. But this new one is just sooooo groovy to me - it's especially the choreography that gets me! OH MY GOD, you're going to see XG! I am so jealous!!! Nayeon giving that throwback r&b girly vibe is something I didn't know I needed. Everytime I hear the song, I want to pump walk through my house with a high knee and an exaggerated cross in my legs hahahaha. That's EXACTLY it with that Kep1er song - it's stereotypical girl group k-pop, but that's what is so pretty about it. And, honestly, I don't know if I'd appreciate it as much as I do if it weren't for the TWICE Deep Dive haha. TWICE is making me appreciate that sound a lot more. Ugh, that RV Killing Voice... 😍 Perfection. I love them so muchhhh.

2024-06-21 21:45:11 +0000 UTCFinally caught up on this stream! It’s been a busy time for me so catching up has been hard. Starting off with Aespa and ending with Red Velvet is WILD btw! Fly that SM girl group flag proudly! We’ve chatted about it before, but Drama hooked me and the whole Armageddon album has me reeled in now. I’m obsessed and they dropped another MV for Live my Life and it’s so cute. Great pop/rock song and love the vibe on them. The new Ateez song isn’t my fave tbh, but I think Bouncy and Crazy Form were just so next level that I find myself comparing to that. Loved their killing voice though! On XG, the song is one where I can only listen to it… the video is crazy budget and visuals, but the grills really take me out. Not my favorite from them, but I love when they let the vocal line girls SING! Just personal preference. I managed to score a ticket to their show in Atlanta so very excited to see them live! Nayeon’s ABCD just continues to grow for me. I love it more and more every time I hear it. Between her and Chung Ha, I’m having a hard time picking my fave solo release so far this year. Thanks for doing Kep1er for me! Never been into them but this comeback really caught me by surprise. Saw a ton of people talking about it with this being the last OT9 comeback and I can’t get over how pretty the melodies are. I’m also obsessed with the movement. Kind of stereotypical for k-pop girl group, but when it hits, it hits. Last thing from is the Red Velvet Killing Voice. I can’t believe you hadn’t seen it yet. It’s up there as one my faves with Taeyeon’s and Seventeen’s. I will fight people when I say that Red Velvet are the undisputed vocal queens of k-pop. Hopefully I can join the next stream so I don’t have to leave an essay for you in the comments lol!

2024-06-17 17:59:42 +0000 UTCOk, so AESPA, killing it!!! They used to be kind of lack luster for me in the performance area, but yes! Like “Girls” was such an amazing song but the choreo was so boring for it. What made EVERGLOW so good was they performed like boy groups! And yes! “FIRST” was done by ATEEZ’s choreographers! That’s my qualm with GG Kpop. Why does everything have to be sexy or cute? Why can’t we just have some badass choreo?! (I’m a former dancer trying to return). Idk if something happened BTS but EVERGLOW has definitely back-pedaled. I don’t think it’s them, I think it’s the people around them. It’s a shame. I hope they’re able to get their spark back and hit it like they used to. I’m glad they’re trying something new, but I feel the execution was at a 85-90% instead of going all in for it, which AESPA is doing and I’m here for it!!! And then jumping a head to ATEEZ…they’re my ult group in everything. These men live and breathe how I used to feel about dance and performing on stage and I’m sooooooo happy they are finally getting the recognition they deserve! Idk if I missed it, did you check out their Killing Voice yet? God, it was so good even though two were sick (although I notice people are always sick when on it lol).

2024-06-17 16:26:35 +0000 UTCI know I'm just still fan-girling out on XG and TEN (and Jongwoo of One Pact) collabs because I love dancers so much, but I just can't get over some of the dance challenge collabs going on after all the shows on the circuit recently! Seeing these matchups with so many biases are incredible. I got even more excited when I watched a live fan chat of TEN posted on X this morning where he was asked what his favorite dance collab was, and he said XG with Jurin on Woke Up because she is a really great dancer and he hopes to collab with her again in the future!!! Yes, please.
