This morning, I sent the kid to school with a very empty lunchbag & a lot of apologies. I just hadn't gone grocery shopping and I didn't have much to give him. That's not a good feeling, as a parent.
So after dropping them off, I went to the grocery store and picked up a bunch of things to last us the week - lunch supplies, snacks, healthy dinner options. And when I went to pay for it, the total amount was just about $5 off of what I currently have in my Patreon balance. And a bitch got teary-eyed in the grocery store. ๐ฅบ
I know I keep saying it, but the gratitude I feel for all of you and this community we're building is SO IMMENSE. For a little over a year now, I have been struggling, counting every penny, wondering how I'll pay the basic necessities, let alone the rest of my living expenses. RiVerse has barely been getting any bookings since Los Angeles, and that trip alone left us in a HUGE debt. We stopped creating RiVerse Reacts, so the YouTube & Patreon income were gone. And the big, big, big question of "What happens next?" was hanging over our heads (still is, to a degree... but this is just life and part of our journey, I guess).
It seems like such a small thing we should be able to take for granted, but just knowing that I have enough money to buy groceries for myself & my family this week?? It is something I haven't always had this last year and I'm SO GRATEFUL.
Again, even if you just came here to watch one video and you didn't even think about whether or not it was supporting me... I'm so grateful to you! THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!

P.S. Also, on my way home, I stopped at the school to drop off extra lunch and I got the biggest hug and "Thank you!!" and I almost started crying again soooooo... that's how my day is going! ๐ ๐คช

I've been there more times than I care to count and it's such a great, emotional, overwhelming feeling to finally be able to do something that is seemingly so little.
