Update

Hello everyone.

As some will have already seen, my last video was removed by YouTube due to a violation of community guidelines. This is not the first video of mine that got removed, and I fear that it is virtually impossible to post any more trainhopping content on YouTube. Advertisers are making stricter demands because they do not want their product promoted in a video that contains 'dangerous' or 'illegal' things. And since YouTube gets its revenue from ads, it obeys the advertisers' demands considerably. This has been going on for a while, but with the rise and development of artificial intelligence, they have the means to scan content faster and more effectively.

From now on I am going to put my videos on Vimeo for you guys (Patrons), that way you can watch the full unfiltered videos via Patreon without them being taken down. The Tunisia video will be uploaded tomorrow. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with YouTube yet, I think I want to give it another chance but somewhere I'm also afraid they'll run my channel into the ground if I push it too much. We'll see.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

What is the link to the videos on Vimeo?

Try uploading backups to Rumble, and try get monetized there.

DragonWeb

You have my support no matter where you post! Thanks for working around YouTube’s ridiculousness!

LeeAnn M

Ahh I was looking all over for the vid. Damn YouTube! Looking forward to the upload here!

Skybot

Vagabond now also posts the trainhopping content on Vimeo, but keeps the rest on YT. Maybe you can do something similar. Please do keep the feature length videos, instead of making multiple videos. I just love to immersive myself in your world! Keep it up man, looking forward to the next.

Stay strong gifGas- i'll keep supporting you through Patreon.

Sometimes I wonder what all this means for our, like, cultural heritage. Back in 2007, I made a small survey of 3586 videos I had watched in 2006/2007, and found that 896 were no longer accessible. Most, however, were removed by the users themselves, which is their right; only 76 were deleted by YouTube. But even so, 2% of a lot is a lot, and this was in the good old days, long before "advertiser-friendly" was even a concept. For a century or so, scholars painstakingly compared every draft and revision of a work of art to uncover its history and present the best version; today, everything from children's books to 18th century operas gets randomly rewritten to be more politically correct. But in the digital world, things just disappear. How will future generations even understand our culture when so much of it simply gets deleted according to a constantly changing set of arbitrary norms? Thanks that you keep trying, and good luck with YouTube!

The world is turning into a fucking nanny state!

Jack Jackson

The fact that AI now prowls the internet to censor content MAKES ME CRINGE!!! Having the freedom of choice to watch any type of content is now in danger along with a creator/artist's freedom of self-expression! Please keep us informed - I sincerely support your future efforts - I greatly appreciate your cinematic talents & "storytelling". It's a "gift" you must continue to share with others!

The Phil Collins at the end was genius. A tune that got played to death in England. Was great hearing it again to you enjoying yourselves πŸ’™

And pure irony: Everything else, that is much more dangerous than train surfing, but not illegal, is allowed on Youtube, even the most stupid things. Hope Vimeo is less restrictive, and Youtube will learn soon (maybe month, maybe years) that they will loose content creators and viewers. Latest when their advertising revenues goes down, they will maybe learn it.

Chainsaw

Subscribed to the patreon because I was looking forward to watching the vid when I got home after work. Glad there will be at least some kind of solution. Very much worth paying for it either way

Dikvor

you could try to make a little more censored version for yt. that way you will still have a way to get new viewers...

Dole

YT has become a cesspool, a far cry from what it used to be back in the day. Thank you for not giving up and providing your fans with the content we enjoy so much and look forward to. Every day you post is automatically a brighter day for me. πŸ’™

Love your work

Woke up singing Phil Collins this morning, watched your film, again, during breakfast. Just because yt is a sell out, does not mean creators should be. We support you, and really enjoy your work. ✌🏼

Rebecca

Youtube and google have gone woke to please the woke companies and f**k everything up.

Thanks for taking extra steps to share these awesome adventures. It's interesting though that YouTube will allow some groups to advocate and actually call for actions of violence in certain groups of people, and that is okay. But hopping a train, peacefully and sharing bits of history and sharing others culture in a unique way without harming anyone is somehow offensive...

Myke Dye

Love your work and will continue to support!

Gabriel

you could use youtube to advertise your vimeo. Use "youtube safe" clips only ofc

Vi

Hopefully all works itself out! The support will follow you to whatever platform you find yourself gravitating towards.

Cynthia

Glad to hear Vimeo is going to work for you man, sad to hear what YouTube is doing. Keep killing the cinematography brother

Swole

No worries, we love your content and will follow you wherever you go.
