After a long gray Belgian winter, spring was finally here, although not much changed. It was the ideal time to head south. Through some friends I met Faavie, he was planning to go to Portugal without spending money. I could use some company on the long trip to Spain, so therefore I decided to take him along on the adventure. He had no experience with trains, but luckily he learned quickly. The original plan was to take a direct train from Belgium to Barcelona, although I knew in advance that the chances of us actually arriving in Spain on that train were slim. The train would take 36 hours, and it was not easy to hide. Also, it only ran 5 times a week, and left from a giant yard so we could easily miss it. In the end, we didn't even see it and went for Plan B. A train to Germany, then Luxembourg, and from there towards the south of France. I think this route was even more interesting, faster and also safer. It was another successful trip!
I hope you will enjoy and thanks for the support!
