Grotesque Portraits from Yesterday

I set up at the Dark art Emporium for the Artwalk. They were also doing their grand re-opening at their new location. They told me I could do this for the Artwalk every month. It's the week after the openings at the Hive. So that gives me two weekends a month where I can go make some scratch doing this if it works out.

In no particular order. I only forgot to take a picture of one. and it was the first kid I've ever done.

Happy April 14th Everyone

Jeez. Just typing that made me realize taxes are due tomorrow.

Yesterday was great. It was a slow steady flow of people. It rained a lot.

It was cool to hang out with the Dark Art Emporium people. Especially Lauren, Vespertine Borroco on Instagram if you wanna go follow her.

She's really cool. She curated the cave show. We talked a lot about symbolism and visions and automatic drawing type stuff. And cats. And David Lynch.

The people I painted were fun. I enjoyed talking to these people while I painted them.

I've been editing videos all day and I can't think straight. So I'll catch up more tomorrow.

Have Fun

I'm really enjoying you posting these, great that you're able to fill the coffers a little too. You've hit on a good thing there Yes, getting to speak with like minded people does make it easier to come away from your usual workspace. Speaking with completely new people whilst working I always found a challenge to begin with, that's why I don't do portraits, now I'll be as chatty as you like so long as I'm not trying to do straight lines, the hands are on a wobble at the best of times let alone if I'm speaking, I end up with brushes, pens ect flying around if I'm not careful. Still, wobbly, waving hands make for great trees
