Self Portrait in Progress

For this piece I'm going a little looser and more abstract.
I did do a fairly accurate sketch of myself first getting all the proportions, facial landmarks, and light/shadow right, but then I just did the old decalcomania routine with some plastic wrap and just started painting into the pareidolia void.

I am enjoying my birthday.
I slept in. I'm eating a lot of food.
I waited to sign a painting until today so that I could do that on my birthday.
I played some Bach on my guitar.
I'm a lowercase birthday person. I don't like a big shebang. A big party or some extravaganza.
I like a small get together. I like to use my birthday to use it as an excuse to get a little treat. Little freebies if a place offers that. Bring it up to get out of something. That type of thing.
