Weird references I made for the choir paintings

These are just the maquettes that I made photographed with the lighting I want.
I bring the picture into photoshop, find some skin texture images, layer them over the heads and use the liquify tool to make the texture wrap around it a little better.
Then I'll play around with the blending mode and opacity so that I can see what is light and shadow from the actual forms (the head) and how the texture picture is effecting the lighting.
I also test out colors on these.
Then at the end I addthe butterflies.
I get the skin textures from Adobe Stock, Unsplash, or sometimes take my own pictures of my hand or something.
I got the Butterfly references from Smithosonian (I think I already mentioned that.)
Happy March 27th Everybody
Tomorrow is my birthday.
Whenever my birthday is coming up I treat myself to a bunch of candy and Oreos. Because I deserve it I guess.
Then I feel sick.
I do it every year. It's a tradition.
