Here's a pic of how my easel looks right now. A lot of little projects going. I'm going to go back to the album cover for the rest of the day. Here's a close up of the second choir painting. This will be the Tenor tier image

For the butterflies I used the Smithosnian website. That's a great resource for references because it's mostly all public domain and you can be pretty confident that the information on it is accurate.
I've been teaching observational drawing to the kids. We learned about Ellipses.
One of them thought I was saying "Eat Lips" instead of "Ellipse."
One of the kids cried because he was frustrated. I feel for him because he's the youngest. I told him that ellipses are one of the hardest things I've ever learned and not to worry about it. That he's doing fine.
I try not to use the word ellipse very much. I just called them ovals. Circles turn into ovals when you look at them from the side.
Another girl has an Apple Watch that she texts on constantly. I took it away and told her to draw.
I let them draw whatever they want at the end. And I draw some goofy stuff to inspire them to keep drawing.
Have Fun
Goodnight Sweeties
