Almost done with this one. Just gotta define the flower and add a few more details. I was thinking about abandoning this one because it wasn't really working out. Last night I found the groove though.
I did this one almost entirely from imagination. I did a bunch of sketches. I landed on this one for the final design.

I transferred it over the panel like I did on the last one.
Since I wasn't using reference other than the drawing, when I ran into trouble with the grass I didn't know what to do. That's when I considered abandoning it.
That's also why I don't have progress pictures of it. I just don't take pictures when I don't like how a painting looks.
I gave it one last shot last night. I just committed to the painting. decided to improvise around the grass. I can't really explain the issues that were there if you can't look at the picture. Basically it was a perspective issue though.
Anyways. I still don't have a name for it. But I have some ideas.
The original drawing was from 2014. Here they are side by side.

I'll share again after I finish painting it and scan it.
There was a huge spider laying dead on the ground outside my door. I picked it up and put it in a cup. I wanted to do some drawings of it. But then it started moving. So I threw it out in the bushes.
It has the shape of a black widow but not the read markings. It makes me wonder if it's maybe a male black widow? I don't know this is easily googleable so I don't know what I'm getting at.
One of the girls in my class gave me a bunch of Chinese pastries for Chinese New Year.
Another girl (7) has a YouTube channel. We painted little Valentine's Day bears holding a heart and they got to write whatever they wanted on the heart. She wrote "like and subscribe."
When I was driving home there was an RV engulfed in flames on the side of the road.
Have Fun
Goodnight Sweeties
