Drawing experiments with non art supplies

Here's some pieces made with just soy sauce on notebook paper.
I was interested in the idea of making drawings out of the cheapest possible supplies. The soy sauce was free, the notebook paper was from the dollar store, I used a brush that came in a back of like 200 from the dollar store.
I also messed around with some white out (also dollar store.) But on this piece I used a nicer brush pen and some fine liners too.
This piece features blood and magic marker. However, with this one it's safe to say that the drawing isn't as good as the materials it's made of.

I've often used non art materials, especially in the beginning as being housebound when first became disabled, became self taught artist as a way of expression as no longer being able to write short stories/ read well anymore. It's surprising what you have in the cupboard, alongside the condiments there was always a good collection of plaster, grout, putty for texture. When I got into stained glass the blood was never a problem but was often disguised with my heavy handed approach to pulling apart items I had for medical purposes with fluid in them. Nasel ampules make a great tool as tiny pipettes.

Currently, I have a bottle of beet juice that is left over from pickled beets I’m going to use on some watercolour paper sometime. I also had some expired instant coffee I saved to use as well and water down mustard…. Just some ideas I had that would be cool to use and see what to create! Always wanted to do some pieces in blood…. Just collection would be… awkward? LOL!🩸 Maybe that would be a cool art prompt one month! Creating a piece using only non-arts media supplies!🤔 Thank you for sharing these! Love the idea!🖤
