Mask sketches

A couple of mask sketches. These are copies from a book. I'm just looking for ideas at this point.

Last night I went to Sculpture night at the Hive.

It was great. I feel rejuvinated. I worked on a head mannequin type of thing that I'm going to use for future portrait painting references. More on that later.

Some people who do make up effects for film and tv came and worked on their sculptures. Then all of us noobs would ask them questions about clay and tools and how they would recommend doing this or that thing.

It's cool because it's informal and everyone is just sitting at the same table sculpting whatever they are sculpting. Some experts. Some beginners.

The film "The Holy Mountain" was playing on a projector.

We ate cookies.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I picked up my tarot card deck.

After that sculpture thing, my friend Brenda and I went and got Philly cheesesteak from a food truck and ate it in my car.

It was an excellent night.

I'm about to leave to go pick up my painting and get the hi res photos of the Cave from the photographer, Annie, in San Pedro. I'm going to be late so I'm going to go now.
