Texture on the Primordial Face

Today I spent a lot of time working on the texture on the "primordial face." I'm trying to get a good texture on it without losing the structure. I made some texture marks on the clay model to help me see the lighting effects on the little nooks and crannies but I didn't get too detailed with that.

I'm getting to the point where I should start adding color. I'm doing a lot of back and forth stuff with details so I should probably be doing that with color. After I get tat texture figured out a little better.

That's a shadow from might light's chord on the top left. Not something I painted.

Happy Jan 10th Everybody

I had to do laundry today and my internet went out. I'm embarrassed at how irritable those two things made me.

My back hurts from this painting.

I got some kind of weird bug bite on my shoulder.

My room looks like an absolute hoarders nest.

That's the first thing I'm going to do after this painting is done. clean my room.

The second thing I'm going to do is look for another job.

I have a persistent voice in my head that goes "you're running out of money."

By the way, I call this little section of the posts "happy days."

Kind of a boring one today.

That's life though.

Have Fun

Goodnight Sweeties

Thank you Tia! I like doing the Happy Days part because it makes me think about my day and look for things that are worth remembering and thinking about.

I have to say the draping of the fabric in this piece is amazing!!! Great detail and value with this piece! I’ve really enjoyed seeing it come together! I also been really enjoying these posts where you have discussion of your work and then you have your journaling β€œhappy days” post. I feel it helps the Choir get to know you as an artist and a person. Thanks for sharing that with the Choir!!!πŸ–€πŸ˜Š
