Insect Larvae
Added 2024-01-02 01:44:52 +0000 UTCSketches for the big cave painting. I don't want to describe the idea here because I feel like if I articulate it in words it will loose something.
But I started looking at pictures of insect larvae, eggs, caterpillars etc. and I drew them on toned paper with black and white Prismacolor pencils.
The votes are in and I'll share the new prompt tomorrow.
Happy January 1st Everybody
Last night I put on Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen's New Years special that they do in Time Square. I think those two are really funny together.
My favorite part was when they talked with John Mayer. John Mayer was in Tokyo at a cat cafe. He was surrounded by all these cats and feeding them some kind of paste that comes out of a tube. Anderson Cooper got the giggles which is always hilarious.
I slept in late today. This big cave painting is due at the gallery on January 17th. Which means I have to be finished painting it around January 14th to allow enough time to varnish it and photograph it and all that.
It seemed like plenty of time when it was still December. But now It feels impossible.
I'm going to have to focus most of my energy on it. I'm going to try and work on it 2 shifts a day on days that I don't have to work. One morning session, one night session. And on days that I work I'll have to dedicate my night sessions to it.
This morning I worked on the maquette part for it a little bit. I feel like I made good progress on it. I'm Going to try and finish that tonight because that will be a huge help in speeding up the process.
