Here's the reference I used. I was really focused on getting interesting lighting on my face.
In the painting, and in my art in general, I'm really focused on being patient.

I honestly never liked doing them haha. but I felt very detached from every other portrait reference I had. So I decided to just take the reference that I wanted to take haha.

We know how we look, but what we know and what actually is can be very difficult to capture. Great job on this!!! Love the levels of value you captured doing this piece!!!!
