In this video I'm going to add texture to a simple drawing of a house in one point perspective. My goal is to show some experimental ways to create texture, but also to show how you can use texture to fundamentally change the meaning of an image.
First, I do a quick 15 minute recap and real time walk through of the pattern to form to value process I do in the demo.
The outline of the house was drawn from this Circle Line Art Video (by the way this is a great Chanel to watch to study perspective, but it also just has a really chill vibe. I highly recommend it.)
The Drawing from that tutorial turns out like this:

And through the power of texture (I kept their same lighting scheme, but I did use pen and ink instead of graphite) I ended up with this:

It's the same drawing in terms of structure, form and value, but the texture creates a completely different tone, story and feeling.
