The sponge I used on this one at the beginning had such a great texture. I got it at the dollar store. I need to get more.
One interesting thing you can do to get interesting textures like that is to use molding paste, or gel medium and press a sponge into them. They're thick, heavy mediums so they just take and hold whatever you press into them.
Another thing to add to my long list of tutorials and demos.
Also, The Frame Came!
So now I just need to go into the gallery tomorrow, do a little surgery on the painting and hang it back up. You'll be the first to see! Check this puppy out though, isn't she a beaut?
