The sketch that started it all
Added 2023-06-23 02:00:02 +0000 UTCThis string thing was the catalyst for the new paintings I've been posting. I made this video a while ago. It was interesting for me to watch.
I did the string thing part of it maybe in January or February. Then it sat in my book for a month or two because of reasons I lay out in the video.
I couldn't figure out which medium to use to paint what I was seeing, then I felt like it was a dumb idea. Then gouache came into my life. like a romantic comedy film.
I intially bought a very limited gouache palette. but I'm all in on gouache now. I just went to the art store this week and expanded my color selection.
