Structural Delusion-Painting Process Timelapse

Timelapse process of my painting "Structural Delusion" with a little song that I made.

At the show the other night one guy was looking at my work and said "It's like Dali meets Cronenberg." and I loved that. Then a few hours later another woman was looking at my work and said "it reminds me of Dali and David Cronenberg." and I couldn't believe it. I welcome both comparisons.

The title, Structural Delusion, came from the origins of this piece as perspective demos and then fusing that with fantasy or the dream imagery. structural because it came from the structure of the boxes, and delusion because thats kind of a synonym of fantasy.

Exactly it gives the paint kind of a warmer light. Usually I’ll let some of it show through. But it’s just go add tone and warmth to everything as a base. Also the camera shows them both as yellow but the original coat is more of an orange and the yellow I added later is more yellow

I’m new to layering paints and wanted to know why the warm yellow base then covered to grey and repainted yellow again? Does this just give the grey areas (like the sky) a warmer feel?
