Painting Bronze Metal

Hey everyone, sorry for my late content upload, we have openend pandoras box at home and started renovation in the kids room. Its never ending and I wish we never started tbh. But to hold some smaller brushes back in my hands, I tried a bronze scheme on this little dude, model is from stationforge. I am not entirely happy and maybe I would tweak it a bit to get a more clear bronze, when there is something like that. But I can imagine this tone very well against a deck, bone or white color on any miniature.

Tomorrow I will be in netherlands and visiting the SMC on weekend with a german group. Maybe we will meet there, feel free to buy me a beer or two, I won't refuse xD

Jokes aside, would be fantastic to connect with patreons and community members. Don´t be shy, just say hello.

Next thing is that Im still sending out some champions for the painting competition. So I'm thinking of extending the timewindow to december, so everyone would have bit more time to finish it. I dont want to create stresslevel.

Thanks everone who is joining!!

Looking forward to all the results

well my paints aren´t mostly so thin, and when I dillute them to half glaze or something like that, then I let soak the paper most of the brush out, so yes! I also paint the overloaded paint on my wetpallet paper very often, and form a tip by twisting it.

How do you not get pooling when your paint is so thin? Are you dabbing on a paper towel before putting paint on the model?

I'd appreciate an extended deadline, only as I've just joined! And 👋
