Collector cards and locking Patreon

Argh!! I won the HWFWM collector card giveaway. Sounds great don’t it? Unfortunately I’m in the UK and they’ll only ship to a US address. Is it just me that’s had this issue? So disappointed. I would have love, love, loved to get some of those beauties. Any suggestions?

Yep. The charge comes out at midnight, my time, and the notice of locking the patreon didn’t come until 2am my time. So I got charged right before the post for it, sadly

How many different cards are there? Is there a point getting multiple packs or do they all have the same cards?

The rates look like they're right for flat rate shipping for the services listed (like USPS priority express and UPS worldwide saver). think the problem is the smallest flat rate packs are up to 4|bs/ -2kg, so it's a bit overkill for just a pack of trading cards. The shipping is per order not per item so group orders would work at least

Might have to partner with foreign printing companies to get the price for local shipping reasonable. At least one in EU and Australia if there is even enough interest for a short run.

Geeez I have to agree with the other comments I just can’t afford 40+$ in shipping to Germany alone. I would’ve loved to get one or two packs but that’s unreasonable shipping for card packs that could fit into smaller envelopes. I know packages get expensive fast but these aren’t going to be that big or heavy

They ain't shipping until march 2024 either way. I guess people in other countries might need to wait for shirt to contact podium and ask why its happening. Although my best guess is that its US based shipping. So everyone from outside the US gets international rates. Only think is this because my shipping was 4 dollars. Everyone else ive seen in comments are either EU, AUS or NZ and they all have high shipping rates.

Two packs to Germany would be 89 €. Since I am not actually a collector of things in general or cards specifically, I will have to think about it some more. Maybe only one pack. Does anyone know what quality the cards themselves are supposed to be? Not the art, but the texture and thickness of the paper for example.

I think its auto calculating shipping. My guess would be that the plugging they use calculates shipping based on a US based shipment. Hence why we in the US pay 4 usd and it says it's shipping using USPS and other places seem to be getting international shipping rates. Ive had this happened when ordering from abroad.

As Jordan Bradley said, the price once shipping is added is extortionate, I’m in NZ, it will cost me $125 which has just made me super sad, I was looking forward to the cards. $83 for postage alone, I’ve loved this series since I found it at book two and have every audio book so far and am trying to get the paperbacks, but I’m just not able to justify over $100 for a single pack of cards.

Edit: I was wrong about the currency. It's $78 AUD not USD for shipping -- Shipping to Australia is $78 USD / $118 AUD. That seems pretty unlikely. Did someone make a typo in the storefront? If it's because the cards are life sized it would be totally worth it butI will have to figure out how to explain to my partner the wall redecorating

Yea I just checked for us in the US is 4 dollars regular 4 to 8 days and 11 priority mail. Although I know this wont ship until 2024

welp im a tcg collector and ive spent more on less cards. Example just spent 200 on a foil mana crypt an hour ago. So i got 2 packs. One to open the other to keep sealed. 😂

I was so excited for this, but the shipping alone is twice the cost of the cards. To buy and ship a pack to the UK it's £56 - please do something about that, it's extortionate
