Quick Text Post As A Prelude To Yames Transmission

Hey all, just making a quick text post as another prelude to a standard Yames Transmission video post, I have a decent amount of stuff to show off but I haven’t cut together the video yet, so expect another video soon. Something that might be of interest to you is that Plastic Spouse Interrogation has a Steam store page. Now of course you’ll all be getting first crack at it since you are Patreon supporters, but for the page I did have to write a bit about the game. I know I have shown you a lot of the game on here and I’ve talked a lot about what I want it to be/my guiding principles in creating it, but I don’t know if I’ve actually provided a good description of the setting. Or maybe, in between all these Patreon posts, you’ve managed to piece together some of what I talk about here. So, if you’re interested, I have put the contents of Plastic Spouse Interrogation’s store page below...

What Is Your Skin Made Of?

You find yourself an unstuck consciousness in a dark room, your attention floating between grimy fabrications of deconstructed biologies. All around you, strange machine assisted life drips and pulses and hums. Soon, the authorities arrive and begin questioning, demanding, threatening, interrogating. But you have no memory and no alibi and no throat with which to protest. Faced with the prospect of a state-sanctioned oblivion, you must play along as best you can, explore and understand how your strange body functions, and find the narrow path between submission and defiance that just might lead to your liberation.

The Simulation Of A Strange Anatomy

Take direct control of life functions that your real-life human body never trusted you with! Circulate fluid through your venous tubes, turn on or off parts of your brain, and more. Just remember to keep your lung sac pumping.

Surprise Test On A Fallen World

Your interrogators will ask you questions in order to discover what you know. Your survival depends on gratifying them. After weathering the cataclysms of the future, new human values and taboos are produced. Your interrogators seek to preserve the world, their satisfaction with you relies on your understanding of their strange remedies to equally strange problems.

Biochemical synthesis

Brew up a variety of acids, enzymes, and other fluids to use towards your goal of escape, with a chemical crafting system based on real(ish) science.

....and that's it.

The next video will probably have a good deal of stuff about Father Turned Me Into Trees And Rivers...there’s some really cool stuff I want to show off. I’m hesitant to show off more of Plastic Spouse Interrogation because I think what there is of the game that you haven’t seen is stuff I want you to explore or figure out for yourself. Some of the graphics I intend to polish up so maybe when I do that I will include a few frames of gameplay here and there. I’ve cleared my calendar for October in order to really grind out these two games. I’m very excited to get them in your hands.

As always, thank you so much for your support. I’m infinitely grateful to you all for giving me the opportunity you have and I really could not do any of this without you. Please forgive me for my relatively dry text post instead of a video, as I said one is coming soon! Until then, I hope you all are doing well.

Yours In Games,

Yames

Played it and really enjoyed it! The visuals were really cool, the separate windows that show the trees as you're walking, and clicking areas to look closer. It was really interesting to me how the woods became kind of prehistoric. That combined with the way you were describing the primal, instinctual fear. so cool.
