GMG! Update
Added 2022-01-12 08:06:47 +0000 UTCHey everybody, thought I would check in with regard to Growing My Grandpa! I've been going through and "filling in the cracks" so to speak, it's a game unlike any I've made before in that it's not super linear and doesn't have just one ending, so it has taken me a little bit to glue all these different systems together and add polish to each one. It's also been interesting because this is the first time I've done any major tutorializing of mechanics.
There's a very basic tutorial at the start of the game regarding the point and click style gameplay of GMG! then once you get into the game proper there's a brief tutorial about the victory conditions of the game and your role as Grandpa's caretaker, then there's two small tutorials for feeding Grandpa and teaching it how to speak.
I'm very happy with what I've made though, as I think I wrote before this game is a good mixture of typical Yamesean themes (body horror! occult stuff! scifi! religion! Speculative neuroscience! etc etc) but also contains a lot more in terms of gameplay and creativity with regard to interaction with the world. There are also a lot of secrets! The secret/good ending is not totally apparent from the start but requires some exploration and diving into the lore to find. So it's a big step forward for me and I think you all will be pretty pleased. Thanks so much for your continued support. I'm very excited for you all to play GMG! soon.

2022-01-18 23:11:09 +0000 UTCHey Mark, yeah sry i intended it to be released like last week but i decided to make a third grandpa phase and that meant a 3rd 3D exterior grandpa model and interior grandpa model (this will make more sense when you play the game!) so that took a little bit of time. my conservative estimate is "sometime within the next week" but i am pushing for within the next 2-3 days
