Ant won the debate. I loved to see how Ant admitted the production was better on graduation, because it was. However you didn’t see Lu give any credit to Carter 3s masterclass rapping performances and song structures. Also using rapper quotes was a great argument because it speaks to how the album spoke to these artists as a whole, not just sound wise as Lu explained. Both albums very monumental, but Carter 3 takes the edge for me.

2022-07-13 01:59:36 +0000 UTCI could be slightly biased due to Kanye being my favorite hip hop artist but I think Graduation is a way better album. Both are great and influenced many different artists. Lil Wayne is better as a rapper but for me it comes down to the track list. I think The Carter III has a lot more filler and forgettable songs than Graduation does. And I think Graduation has some of Kanye’s best songs on it.
