Starting over

It's not a secret that things have been slow here, and they've been that way for a very long time. The numbers have been steadily dropping and I was at a loss for what to do about it. It has been a major source of stress since last year, and has been a very significant reason I've been so inactive for so long. Finding a way to improve the tier rewards without crippling my primary source of income by adding a side door labelled "Fraud Entrance" for any asshole with a paypal to stroll in and take everything I have for absolutely nothing while also not overloading my pathetically lazy ass has been... challenging. Suffice it to say, I pretty much hit a wall.

With all that in mind, I finally sat down for an exercise I've been needing to do for months. I took a good look at my patreon, and asked myself if I would pay that amount for those rewards.

The answer was a resounding no.

If I'm not even making content that would get myself to sub to this nonsense, why the hell should anyone else? So, it's time to break out of this mold set up a few years ago when this mess first began, and start fresh. I know I already said I was overhauling the tiers and that even those haven't been implemented yet when I said they would be, but there's a reason I left those for so long. Even at the time, part of me knew it wouldn't work. This time, however, I'm not just changing the existing system. I'm throwing it out entirely, and replacing it with something I think will be better for everyone.

   -The New Tiers

Instead of four, there will now be three tiers. The monthly sketch is being retired, and starting with the release of Mechanical Maidens next month, packs will no long be part of my patreon beyond previews. Previously, being Dungeon or Boss tiers would get you all new packs for free, but when I only release one every four months or so, that essentially amounts to paying $40 for something of $10 value. It's stupid. In short, I'm no longer providing things that a person can simply sign onto a tier for, grab, and then cancel without paying. This may seem like a significant portion of the current rewards are being gutted, and that's not really wrong. However, the new benefits will fix the most significant problems this page has had for years. We're also ditching the MMO terminology, since it didn't really make much sense in the first place, in favour of something more thematic. Let's get into it.

-Tier 1: The Docile ($2)

This tier gives access to the majority of what I'll be posting on here from now on. You'll see requests here a month before everyone else, some pack previews, as well as anything of mine I post here that's too raunchy for DA. All patrons will also have access to the Patreon channels in my Discord server.

-Tier 2: The Obedient ($10)

It's quite a jump, but there's a reason for that: the old request streams are dead. The wheel, the slots, the randomness, all gone. Now, all tier 2 patrons get a request every two months. The old request streams will just be me drawing the requests I've received so far, with priority going to those that show up to watch. I won't do them all on stream, just the ones I can. Requests are limited to one character at a time, with only very simple backgrounds. In order to keep requests straight and for me to be able to keep track of which have been made, your request must be sent in a note on DA. Once the note has been sent, the request is finalized and cannot be changed. Be as descriptive as you deem necessary, as any important information omitted, like pose, will be decided by me if not specified.

This tier will be limited to 20 for a while as we gauge how much demand there is, and how well I can keep up with requests.

-Tier 3: The Tamed ($20)

There will not be many additional benefits for this tier, as it mainly just exists if someone wants to join it. This tier will include things like access to more frequent previews and progress updates on packs in the Discord, but also a stronger vote in deciding topics for new packs, particularly the new mini packs coming in the future. Additionally, tier 3 patrons are essentially able to "charge" their requests; by skipping a month, you can then get a request with up to two characters.

This tier will be limited to 10 for a while as we gauge how much demand there is, and how well I can keep up with requests.


These changes are currently planned to be implemented starting in August. Some details may be altered in the future as I get a better idea of how things are working out. For now though, these are the plans. It's time to stop being a sad sack and actually try to get some shit done.
