After Hours, I was very high to start off. But the album just brought me into another dimension.. every track was hitting so good.

The first Donda listening party probably, even though it wasn’t the best version of Donda me being there all around Kanye fans celebrating the release was a very special moment to me that added a lot to the experience and hearing song like Jail and 24 for the first time were amazing experiences

Revenge

This is kind of an old album, but the first time I listened to Nevermind by Nirvana. I was in middle school on a family trip and I hadn’t listened to much music aside from rap. We were in the car for hours so I tried it out and it blew my mind. I started listening to more rock music ever since then and still do to this day. RIP Kurt Cobain

has to be 4 your eyez only, listening to this album for the first time was mind-blowing, this album is when Cole became my favourite rapper of all time. I still have to bump this album at least once a month. the title track is one of the best story telling songs ever and it might actually be my favourite too.

My favourite ever album listening experience was definitely 3001 a laced odyssey by Flatbush Zombies. I rly didn’t listen to rap music like that until I heard this but it completely blew my mind and I’ve been a hip hop head ever since. I first put it on when I started school and didn’t take my earphones out all day, then played it in the car with my friends after school and we all felt the same way about the album, rly brought us all closer so I owe FBZ for that

It was easily Yeezus. I was just getting into Kanye's discography during the first lockdown in 2020 and I vividly remember headbanging to tracks like On Sight and New Slaves while playing Paper Mario 2 on my wii. One of my most fond memories ever

Spectre

Not my favorite album, but I’ll never forget the day Jesus is King dropped. It was my senior year in High School and I had a video production class for half of my day, and a football game that night. The half of my class that listened to Kanye caught word that it dropped and we took the class fog machine and lights for a “video” and had a listening party in the studio. It’s a memory I’ll always have thanks to that album’s midday drop.

Colby Cole

My favorite favorite album experience was back in September doing my first listen of 808s and heart break. It was a rainy day at the college center and the whole experience was such a nice vibe. 808s easily became one of my top 3 kanye albums because of the great vibe this album gives with songs like street lights and say you will.

My favorite first time listening experience of all time was Under Pressure by Logic. I was in 7th grade when I first heard it and before I listened to only 70s and 80s classic rock. He introduced me to rap music with this project and logic still has a masterpiece with this one. Logic is god awful now sadly but this is still one of my top ten favorite albums of all time and holds a special place in my heart. Even Thalia narrating throughout the track list is extremely nostalgic for me to this day, takes me back to a different time.

Andrew Sullivan

I think my favourite first time listening experience was easily DAMN, from the moment Kendrick said "So I was taking a walk the other day" to the very last line of DUCKWORTH, I was absolutely hooked, because personally it wasn't until I reached my 20's that I appreciated the art of an album, so now when people recommend albums I make sure I listen. But yeah the hype was insane!

My favorite first time listen was definitely ASTROWORLD by Travis Scott. I remember the day before it released everyone in school was hyping it up and everyone couldn’t wait to listen to it. It was the 1st album I stayed up till midnight to listen to, so it was great experience especially not knowing all the features and being shocked by them.

It would be “Doggystyle” by Snoop Dogg. Probably a couple years ago. My mom is a major Death Row Snoop fan and every Saturday night we listen to an album. So, we connected my MacBook to two huge speakers in the living room. Just an incredible, hilarious album just to sit back with a drink and vibe too. 90s DR and G Funk is what really got me into rap.

Blake Holmer

So my favorite album listening memory is, so small back story about me I have CF witch is a lung disease. So i was staying in the hospital for a month back in December 2019 for the holidays, and i would always have my speaker blasting with music. So one of my nurses i had that night said i should check out vince staples. For that whole night i had big fish theory on repeat, i had that kendrick verse memorized and i can still do it with my eyes close to this day. There’s not one flaw on that album it’s perfect. That’s why it’s seriously in my top 10 favorite album of all time and my favorite listening experience ever. damn man that felt like a school report writing that.

Dill

Probably would be If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. I was in Bible College and the week the album dropped, I was on a Urban Missions Trip in Toronto. Being able to walk the streets of Toronto with the album was an incredible experience. Topping it off with Know Yourself playing while looking at the CN tower. Goated memory that I will never forget.

SnowChild

Think my favorite first album listing would be swimming by Mac Miller, I remember just sitting in the chair at my grandma's house and just taking in the album, and since I had lost someone close to me the week before the album came out. The music just felt like therapy and for that whole time I was away from home it just was the theme of the trip. RIP Mac Miller

Whodnl

Mine is def man on the moon 3. Being a huge cudi fan, this was a big night! I stayed up late for it and when It dropped I listened through the whole thing while drinking hot chocolate and playing spider man ps4😎 Wish I could go back😩(favorite songs are 4 da kidz and sept 16)

4 your eyez only - 45 degrees celsius outside, i had to go to the nearest store which is 30 mins on a bicycle just to buy an itunes gift card since my dad doesn’t let me listen to songs with curses so i can’t use his credit card (back when there was no apple music only itunes). listened to the whole album on my way back and that was when i discovered that music is an art. i started realizing everything j cole was saying. listened to 4 your eyez only (outro) and it was the first time i ever cried to a song. ever since that day it has always been my favorite album and every time i listen to it i remember this exact story.

saif

Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. The production was A1 on every song, especially the intro. Felt like I was about to run through a tunnel about to play for the National championship in college football. Her lyricism was incredible on every song. 10/10 experience

Brock Asher

It has to be the first time I listened to Circles by Mac Miller. I never really was a huge Mac Miller fan before hand, but that listening experience was insane. Just so much emotion and pure feelings in it. Hearing Good news a week prior or so as the single just had me so excited for it. Truly amazing album!
