Alright. Fuck. Pull up a chair, y'all.

So, we were all lubed up and ready to write a sequel to last year's horrid British Mothers' Day/Easter lore, when we glanced at the calendar and found that Easter is at the END of APRIL this year?! What the actual fuck?! We could have sworn it was in March! How the fuck does a holiday jump a whole-ass month?! So, naturally, we were compelled to conduct vast amounts of thorough research at our local library's microfiche database. Upon learning what microfiche is, we decided to just Google it. AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT WE FUCKING FOUND?! Well, you best hide under those school desks, kiddos, cuz we're about to drop 15 kilotons of truth bomb on yeah. Gonna be a real Ash Wednesday, if ya know what we mean! As it turns out, the day of Easter is not determined by some biblical crap or anything! It falls on "the first Sunday after the full moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox. If the full moon falls on a Sunday then Easter is the next Sunday". What kind of Druid-ass-pagan-fuckery is that?! For god's sake, Christianity! If you're gonna steal their homework, you gotta at least change it A LITLLE! Just make it easy for everyone and pick a day! I shouldn't have to solve the fucking Da Vinci Code to know whether I need to show up to work on Monday!

Right. Work.

We've been doing that. We swear. It's just been slightly bumpy, what with 2/3rds of the writers (and both our main editors) moving, but we've been able to make a ton of progress regardless. For SAOA 19, Matty's been able to pick out lines and shots for 17 of 25 pages of the script (including that scene...), and the script for MHAA 6 is coming along nicely, but it is starting to look a bit chonky. We're not certain yet, but we might end up doing what we're doing with the SAOA season finale and splitting the script into multiple episodes once we've finished writing the whole thing.

Oh! Some of you may have noticed that there's a new addition to the SWE family. That's right! Our secret project is secret no longer! Fruits Basket Abridged Episode 1 is out now on Patreon and... sigh... REALLY stuck in copyright jail on YouTube. Like, worse than usual. We normally only have to fight it once, but no. This time they wanted round two. With any luck, this latest counter-claim should take care of it, and the episode will be up on YouTube sometime this month. But wait! There's more! This is indeed going to be a series, unlike... shudder... that other thing. We've already got the second episode fully recorded, and our wonderful editor, RedBeast, is working on it now, and we've got scripts completed up to episode 5. Can you tell we've been working on this since 2019?

So, in summation, happy Saint Patrick's Day! A day that, despite being drunk off its ass, is STILL able to pick a fucking date and stick to it! Look at 'em over there! What a professional!
