Baby Kerberos!

The mass drop for the Royal Road release of Path of the Aegis is now complete. Aegis is around 2 months ahead on Patreon with the normal release schedule, and I'll work on upping that as time goes on. I believe A Summoner Awakens is 3 months ahead at the moment, so I'll be trying to catch up to that before eventually pushing to get both titles 6 months ahead on Patreon (which should be about a full book ahead on each, which is where I would like to be eventually. Expect to have 2 chapters drop on Patreon instead of one every now and then until reaching that point).

In other news, I am very proud to announce the birth of my fourth--and last--child! Aurora Maeve, 6lbs 15oz, 19.5", 8/14/23. (Yes, many of the characters in my books *are* named after my children and/or other people that I care about)

Thank you all for your patience during the pregnancy. This was no doubt the hardest pregnancy on us out of all of our children, and we and the delivery doctor were very worried about my wife and little girl's health during the birth because of all the complications during the pregnancy along with other complications that occurred during my older children's births. Oddly enough, this was both the easiest and quickest labor out of all of them! She slid right out after only 10-15 minutes of pushing and was healthy as can be! My wife is even recovering far faster than she did with the others--for obvious reasons since those births didn't go well--so she'll be back to taking care of the house sooner than expected and I can get back to focusing on producing content instead of mopping floors and washing dishes 😄

I've noted your complaints about some of my character's dialogue and will be spending some time this week re-reading book 1 and combing over what's written so far in book 2. Please keep in mind that I do write with my mind on the Audio version of my books, so the accents I write are for the narrator's benefit, along with yours, so you can get a good grasp on how I envision the characters. I'll probably also need to watch the first season of Peaky Blinders again to get Rowan and Nathaniel's speech patterns back on track. Of course--just like with book 1--I'll be altering and making any necessary corrections during the editing phase.

Ahh, here I am, going off on a tangent again. Sheesh, it's like I can't get what I want to say out without overdoing it xD

Thanks again for all of your support through these trying times, and I hope you've all enjoyed this mass release on Path of the Aegis! I'm deeply sorry that I couldn't do the same for A Summoner Awakens. I had full intentions to do so but could never get the backlog for it built up like I'd been hoping. I'm halfway done with Chapter 22 there, so I'll post it on Patreon in the next few hours--trying to make sure it's a fat one! I'll go ahead and post the next one on RR for my supporters on that side in the meantime.

We still have one surgery to go in about 5 weeks, but now that everything is much less hectic around here and I have more time, I intend to return to those big meaty chapters that you all loved. Apologize again for the RR readers who will be getting the shorter chaps for the next couple of months until you reach Patreon's current point 🙂

PS: I did not notice the crumbs in my beard in my very first baby selfie on Discord! How embarrassing! Tagging over 900 people like that, lmao. I even posted that on Facebook 😅  Here's another family and baby pic without my hospital-bum-slobness showing xD Only got like 9 total hours of sleep over the course of 3 days fretting over my wife and the baby--and hospital recliner sleep is ass! My oldest son is also missing from the teeny family pic--he's in here sitting beside me, playing games on the Xbox. As for the baby, isn't she just the cutest little alien? (All babies look wild to me, even mine, lol)
