Pumpkin is just being a teenager that needs reality to smack a little bit of sense into her. If she's gotten this out of hand in what she's thinking and feeling then she needs what Quinn is likely to say. Luckily for her Quinn doesn't seem like the type to be too nice to present the message clearly nor vicious enough to want to try to twist any knives.

Okay, I'm NOT going to go into the realm of ideological relationships of a romantic nature, nor going to touch the asexuality aspect that has been floating around. What if the person, who has been alluded to being fixated by her parents, has fixated and lets see, "glomped" onto an individual because the girl feels better about herself and just feels that being in the company of the person hasn't grown up emotionally enough to fully appreciate the situation as part of a two way street, but is only there for herself completely. I can relate, as I was kicked off of a volunteer job at a transient shelter because I wanted to help out so much, I was infringing on the jobs that others needed to do. I interfered with the rules of the shelter, and let people slack off on their duties in relation to the shelter's structured plan for helping people help themselves. If Pumpkin was helping herself earlier, she most definitely is not now. It seems that her self image is still in such a state of disrepair that being friends with someone secret has a disastrous outcome.
