3 - The War at Home

Next comic will be Tuesday, and I'll make it a double tier since I'm pressed for time getting Thursday's colored and worded in time. Fortunately doing that will get through most , if not all, of Rosemary's rant on Katrina. Thanks all. I'm not sure if there will be anymore flashbacks involving Ginger, so this may be the last. Regardless, I will say her feud with, and ultimate departure of Ginger in the home caused her hair to go gray.

It all depends on circumstance. When you catch them in the act (in your own bed no less) life changing conversations happen. Hopefully it goes smoother for you.

I'm sure this is how every girl dreams of this conversation going. Seriously, I wonder what percentage of the time this sort of knowledge comes out in an argument as opposed to calmer conversations.

That One Guy

Yep

Maybe this has already been covered and I missed it, but I'm curious: is Mr. Buttoning-My-Shirt above now Ginger's husband?

Having two small daughters of my own, I'm not looking forward to this type of situation. Hopefully, I can resolve things a little better when I get to that point.

Rosemary doesn't know Pumpkin was taken advantage of. What she knows is she said "This is the rule" and Pumpkin broke it and that's an easy rule to follow.

Yup. Ginger was totally in the wrong. What one wonders, is if she knows it now that she was a parent. Though nothing wrong with saying her BF can't set foot on the property again. That's not even forcing them to break up, that's forcing him to just stay off the property. :p I'd say also another big nail in Ginger's coffin is calling her mom by her first name. Some parents may let that slide, I know I wouldn't :p

Both circumvented the rules. Pumpkin just got caught sooner and who knows how far Kat could've talked Pumpkin into doing what she may or may not have really wanted to do.

Man, this sucks for Pumpkin. Mom's drawing parallels that just aren't there :(

Yeesh, it's kinda weird to see Ginger as a teenager like that. Teenagers are. . . yeah. Dumb shits, the lot of them. Dumb idea to screw your BF at home when your mom banned it, unbelievably stupid to taunt your mom with the fact that you did it. I don't know what Ginger expected to happen, but I bet she regrets almost destroying her relationship with her mother because she couldn't keep things more discreet. And yes, Rosemary DID take things too far. There's punishing Ginger for breaking the rules, but trying to force her to break up with her boyfriend over is too much. Both of them acting stupidly and paid the price for it. Now I'm wondering how they patched things up in the end. Another thing I'm wondering about is how Juniper managed to get around as much as she did. I doubt Rosemary would just idle by an let her run rampant, so I'm going to assume there was a lot of messing around in and after school, and a good deal of sneaking out too.

It's pretty damn interesting to juxtapose Pumpkin, who was legit being taken advantage of (and, contrary to my original predictions, doesn't seem to have realized how much at the time), with Ginger here. I wonder if it left Rosemary more inclined to be gentler with Pumpkin. Certainly, the kind of incandescent temper Rosemary seems notorious for strikes me as inappropriate to both situations, and I wonder if experience with Ginger will have led her to be slightly more relaxed with Pumpkin, particularly considering the circumstances (and the all-too-likely probability that Kat, who constantly and thoroughly disappoints me, was quite certainly the primary driving force behind the subversion of the Will of Mom). Maybe not. Maybe I'm overthinking things.

Rough times :(

Yeah, I think I'd go gray(er) if I had that exchange with my daughter, too
