Plan on relatioships
Added 2024-06-07 07:04:53 +0000 UTCWhile I am working on a tutorial location and making some more art for the game I decided to take a breather and design the relationship system.
I would like to be modular and understandable. But still a little bit complex then the simple "Number goes up - now you are lovers".
Here is what the main three starts are gonna be:
Rapport - a value that represents how much on the good terms you are with the girl. (can be both positive and negative values)
Lust - a value that represents how much the girl views you as a sex partner. (can be only positive)
Favor - a value which represents how much the girl feel indebted to you. (positive if she owes you, negative if you owe her.)
The exact namings is a matter of change. They might be replaced.
As well there might be other values like Submission - Domination index, but it's won't be added at first.
Status you your relationship will be depending on the combination of the parameters.
Examples:
Friends - 75-100 Rapport
Fuck buddies - ~25 Rapport 50-75 Lust
Love - ~100 Rapport ~100 Lust
The sources which influence the parameters to kick off the relationship you will have to do a couple of requests or maybe a save the girl from an enemy. This will help you build favors.
Then you will have to utilise the accumulated favors to interact with the girl to convert it into either favor or lust. Different approaches might have work better or worse depending on the girl.
As your relationship progresses you might be able to ask her to join you in the party, call her to come to you if she is in the area, let her visit you at the shelter or even suggest her to stay there with you.
