Hammering out the details
Added 2022-04-12 08:55:06 +0000 UTCWhile constructing the new test factions, I ran into some opportunities to streamline the code even further.
While I finish the full trace, I've also been sketching out the Factions to add in. I figure a good little test set would be some of the Silver Hand, and some extra werewolves to hunt down.
Now, werewolves can be absolutely brutal on low-level players -- so I'm planning on keeping things light for now. I can do a more comprehensive build-out on the next big release -- this addition is only for the sake of comprehensive testing, I don't want it to hold things up.
To test out some of the new Quest dependencies, I think I'll have at least some of the Silver Hand and werewolf spawns dictated by the player's progression in the Companions questline. This can later blossom into something much bigger, with the Silver Hand taking over several forts and such around Whiterun, and maybe even the emergence of some fallen / disgraced Companions as rogue werewolves.
As part of the test, I can have it where the feral werewolves will even follow the player if the player is in werewolf form, and either the pack leader is dead or the player's level exceeds the pack leader.
Any thoughts or preferences in that direction?
