We’re thrilled to share with you the Second Pre-Animation of Foxlo’s transformation into a Giant Blueberry—now fully rendered with lighting and sound effects! 🫐✨ As promised, here’s the second shot in our pre-animated sequence, where (as we did in the first shot) we’ve seamlessly combined live-action elements of our actress with digital CGI components. 💻

Drawing inspiration from the iconic moment in the 2005 Movie, this scene captures Foxlo’s realization that her body is expanding as she nervously touches her growing belly. Meanwhile, her clothing darkens dramatically as a deep blue stain spreads across her outfit, completely altering its appearance. 🔵

To achieve this effect, we applied a Noise Map to cover the entire geometry of the outfit. We also enhanced Key Details:

Improving the integration of Foxlo’s real head with the CGI animated body.
Reinforcing the belly’s normal map, making the navel stand out more prominent in the render.
Adding more textured granularity to the skin, giving it the realistic look of a blueberry’s surface.

Foxlo’s head is 100% real and digitally integrated, and her expression of discomfort and concern 😰 as her body fills and grows heavy is absolutely flawless (This is Cinema!) 🛠 Technical Details:

Animation, lighting, and materials: Created in Blender.
Live-Action and CGI integration: Composed in Nuke.
Softbody belly effect: Crafted in Houdini (As we usually do).

⚠️ Work in Progress: Please keep in mind that this is not the final result of our movie. There’s still plenty to refine and perfect, but this pre-animation brings us closer to the final look and feel we’re aiming for in our film. ⬇️Video Links⬇️
