Here it is—the final render result! ✨ Following the preview we shared yesterday, we’re thrilled to bring you the full version with lighting and sound effects of our beloved Foxlo begins to transform into a giant Blueberry. 🫐
Let us remind you that this is not the final result for the movie, but rather another test we’re conducting to experiment with a new blendshape, inspired by the first stages of the transformation. These tests are based on the 2005 movie, which dared to incorporate body horror elements into a family film. Quite bold, right? 🤔 We chose this version because it creates the perfect tension to develop and exaggerate in our project. Oh yes, We need that!!! 🙏
In this test, we slowed things down so Foxlo inflates in a more gradual and dramatic way, rather than a fast, instant transformation. We focused on making her inflation start from the hips, belly, and rear, just like in the movie. Watch closely as her belly shakes and wobbles while it begins to fill with blueberry juice, 💦 and listen as her stomach growls from the reaction. The perfect sounds… 🫐🔊👀👌👂
On the technical side, the softbody effects and liquid simulation were done in Houdini. Meanwhile, the blendshapes, lighting, and rendering were completed in Blender. 🖥️🎨 The sound effects were taken and adapted from the original movie to fit our scene perfectly. Video Link ⬇️

It will depend on the support of Patreon, since we don't have a stable budget and everything is being paid with what Patreon collects each month, so we depend on it to be able to finish the project. At the moment we are doing the tests to capture the essence of the film and the next thing will be to develop our final animation. It is a complex and expensive process if we want it to feel like cinematic quality.
