Added 2025-03-05 18:11:34 +0000 UTCHello, dear patrons! 💜 Today, we’re excited to share the first look at our favorite janitor: the grumpy Lumpa Grumpo. 🧹✨ This character originally debuted in the comic "The Awlfur Fray Room," where he served as the story's narrative thread while adding some comic relief with his signature dry and blunt humor. The perfect character. 👌
We loved him so much that we decided to include him in the film! Grumpo will officially be the factory’s one and only janitor, tasked with cleaning up everything—literally everything. His job isn’t glamorous (it’s quite the opposite, actually). For instance, he’ll be mopping up the blueberry juice puddles 🫐 left on the floor after Foxlo’s juicing process, as well as dealing with less-than-pleasant tasks, like cleaning up the Kandy Zoo’s animal droppings. Oh yes, a shitty job... 💩🐾
Grumpo is also the oldest Lumpa in the factory and dreams of retirement, but Wally Wonky never lets him go. All of these reasons are why he’s so grumpy and bitter—he truly got the short end of the stick! But despite all of that, Grumpo is a wise character, and he’s usually right whenever he speaks up. 🧠
From a technical standpoint, this first modeling phase of Grumpo was based on the Lumpa 69 model. All future Lumpas we create will stem from this base model. The modifications to bring Grumpo to life were done entirely in Blender. 💻
