Today, you can see our Blueberry model rolling in all its glory in the Inventing Room! 🫐🎥 We’re thrilled to share with you the latest updates in the development of our movie. This time, we’ve worked on integrating Foxlo Blueberry into the Inventing Room’s stage, and the result couldn’t be more exciting!
The Inventing Room was designed in Unreal Engine, and now that we’ve completed the 3D model of Foxlo Blueberry, we’ve been able to place her directly into this much more advanced stage. If you look closely, you’ll notice we’ve added more pipes and platforms, creating a richer and more detailed environment. In true MPC style!
But that’s not all: Foxlo Blueberry now has physical properties. This means that when the character interacts with her, they can push her, make her roll, and even collide with her like she’s a ball. While she doesn’t yet have the softbody effect you all love, remember that this is a real-time simulation and not the final animation. When it’s time to record the final scenes for the movie, we’ll use Houdini to apply the full softbody effect in all its detail. For now, this is a first glimpse of how Foxlo will look in the final stage. The next step will be working on the lighting, as the stage currently has basic and rather dark lighting. Of course, this will change in the final product: the atmosphere will be much more vibrant and dynamic, just as we envisioned. We want it to look amazing!
This progress is our year-end gift to you. We’ve made a huge leap in the project, with increasingly polished stages and characters. The upcoming year will be crucial as we continue advancing the transformation scene and other important parts of the movie. Soon you will see more!
