2025-06-22 12:07:19 +0000 UTCI’m gonna disagree on the whole blackmail thing, for me it totally ruins stories tbh because it makes it predictable and feel like it’s pretty forced, I’d rather have bob use the footage to help him in his seduction attempt rather than use it to blackmail Tom and Jess, seduction is a much better read than blackmail because it opens up so many more passages

I believe I've finally ran into some hiccups in the story for me but great writing (as always) nonetheless. - "Tom's steady presence in her life feels like a vital constant." Great way to separate how Jess views her husband vs her suitors. I'm hopeful this feeling Jess has remains a keystone trait even after future endeavors. - A Jess POV of her dinner with Webb would've been interesting. Being able to see ,not only Tom's view of the date, but Jess' too would've helped more in seeing how Jess feels about exploring down this path. - Jess retelling events (that didn't happen) was very hot. Definitely see a ton of potential with Jess using that to please Tom and even herself in future chapters with the other suitors too. - Also, Jess making it a point that exploring the fantasies are to be a MUTUAL choice and not a solo one for fear of future ramifications really helps keep Tom as a main presence in Jess' arc and the story and not just someone who begins to become forgotten about. - Although, I feel Jess should've already known she's playing well into Tom's fantasies with the fabricated story just from her talks from Tom and Madi. - Seems like the setup is for there to be some friction/confrontation between Jess and Tom regarding Bob masturbating to her. I'm kinda iffy here. Jess already knows she can arouse Bob (catching his gazes and feeling his erection) and I understand she's written very professionally and respectable (Which we love about her) but considering she had some fun teasing Bob and the great sex with Tom after i'm not sure how much damage knowing he's masturbating to her would do. - Ofc Tom withholding that information is where the issue lies but I'd hope Jess would understand how odd that is to bring up and if anything SHE and Tom hold the cards in regards to any blackmail or scheming. Which brings me to my next dash - Blackmail is kinda an odd angle atp. Jess and Tom seem already on their way to exploring/experimenting and Bob should know (given everything he's heard) how close he is to being the one who can benefit. Feels like it would be a misstep to suddenly have Jess and Tom cave into advances from Bob this way. Like I said prior, Jess and Tom have the cards. I know Bob could release damaging info of the couple but the couple could seek financial compensation (which they probably wouldn't hesitate for) immediately afterwards citing sex crimes. Bob scheming his way into Jess' bed and not so much forcing his way into it seems more on par with our characters. And Jess understanding could help in Jess remaining as our titular powerful, professional, and respectable hotwife. - Tom seems to heavily be into the idea of reclaiming Jess after her rendezvous. FAR better than being the kind of husband who solely gets off to the idea of being subjugated. And cares that Jess is comfortable in what she explores and that she's the one who decides. We're not there yet but that being something Jess is also very much strengthen their bond. All in all, another pretty great chapter for some character study. Thx for the read
