2025-05-24 00:02:01 +0000 UTCGreat chapter, amazing dialogue to show the understanding and sharing between Tom and Jess. It is a bit slow for what I’m used to, but it definitely looks promising! I do agree Tom already looks quite uneasy, even after sharing everything so openly. Hopefully it doesnt turn out like other similar stories, where the “bull” is shown as someone with near super-human intelligence, planning, seduction etc and the couple just stop being the center of attention. One question though - have we ever had a direct description of jess? Like height, cup/butt size or so? I remember her being described in chapter one, but very vaguely, nothing specific.

That conversation was one of the harder things I've ever written. I was trying not to rely on exposition. I wanted it to feel like a real convo between 2 people who genuinely love each other but are unsure of the new boundaries they're starting to cross. You both raise some excellent points about Jess. I don't want to spoil anything but I will say that I'm very interested in why people do what they do, not just what they do. Thanks again for reading! Glad you're enjoying it.

I'd hate to sound like I'm telling you how to write your own story, but I love that the couple are painting Tom's fantasies as snapshots/moments that they can enjoy and discussing about Tom's insecurities of "what if I don't like it." or "what if you like someone better than me." along with Jess' reassurance. Unfortunately, a lot of LW stories scrap this at some point. These are extremely common themes found in most Loving Wives stories and I'd hate to see it go down that path and there's some fallout between the couple. Setting up Jess as being in control of her desires/fantasies is another aspect I'd love to see stay on track. Like above, most LW stories seem to make the female lead succumb and submit which I feel can completely tarnish a character. Jess actually being cooperative/understanding of Tom's fantasies and keeping him on her pedestal even while exploring other suitors would be great. But alas, this story is called the Bad Tenant and Bob seems to be on a mission to conquer Jess. Still pretty hot but I'd hate to see this become something that tears apart a beautifully written couple. Maybe if it's something where Bob thinks he's a step ahead on his goal but it's actually just Jess giving into Tom's fantasies and their both unaware of each other's motives. Suffice to say, I really love what you've got going on here. The writing alone is enough to make me stay and support and I'm absolutely dialed for the next chapter!

Although because of knowledge Tom has about Bob, that he hasn't shared, he might end up showing Jess that he cannot handle the fantasy. He's already too uneasy about Bob. And Jess. She's already being seduced by Bob whether she knows it or not. And one piece missing from there conversation is, what if Jess likes the attention, flirting, and playing more than Tom? Would she stop? (I hope not!) Tom told Jess that it's OK to weaponize her power, but I think Bob will be the one to teach her how. She'll be...grateful! Great writing as always EW!
