As some of you may know, at the beginning of November, we donated all of our October 2021 Patreon funds to the John Deere UAWD gofundme for John Deere workers on strike. We matched the Patreon amount with our own funds for a total of $250 donated. Thank you for making that happen!
For the month of December, we will be donating all of our Patreon funds to the donorbox project to Protect Pasadena Tenants. The more cities we win rent control in, the easier it is to combat bad-faith arguments about the chaos it will supposedly cause. This is an important campaign to win rent control in Pasadena for renters and housing activists everywhere, particularly as rents are being raised going into the holidays.
If you're not from SoCal you might be thinking "I don't care about Pasadena," BUT... Pasadena has a credible rent control campaign underway right now, and victory there will bring us one step closer to rent control everywhere.
We are so grateful for your support of Hit Factory, and your support of important work being done to help build the kind equitable and connective communities we need.
