When I first jumped into full-time creative work, I felt I needed to do everything myself. But I was drowning trying to do everything myself. Writing, drawing, managing schedules, emails, conventions… it adds up fast! I kept thinking, if I could just “work smarter”, I could make it through. But it wasn’t working.

So, recently, a big focus of mine is to rely on our team more. It wasn’t easy. Letting go of control meant trusting others with something super personal. But, it’s already made a huge difference. Projects are moving faster, I feel more balanced, and honestly, the work is better. I feel there’s a lesson about team work in here: we can do anything, but we can’t do everything, especially not by ourselves.

Thanks for sticking with me through the mess of learning this. You make all this possible.
