Roommates AU!

Alice: We were just chilling with our D&D group and one of us said "hey guys, but what if we plotted a roommates AU?". It was the beginning of the end. Basically it's just a fun lighthearted AU, with a Friends/HIMYM vibe, but plotting it really made me and Ruru realize that we actually could tell morius' story in a setting that wasn't like the one of their campaing.

In this AU, Moria (here called Marcus) and Iulius (here called Jonathan) are neighbours. They met each other because Iulius was playing the piano (thus disturbing Marcus' sleep), and then began to talk a lot from their respective terraces. Marcus, being the dumbass that he is, fell in love hard and quick, but soon learned that Jonathan was in a relationship with another person, and that's how a four years long pining began.

Fun facts!

Marcus here is a youtuber, streamer and writer. He began as a small content creator, gained some success and following, and decided to make a living with it. On the other hand, Jonathan is a researcher in the neuroscientific field.
Jonathan is a game master with several years of experience in the ttrpg world. He was the one who started the "game night" tradition for the flats. So, basically, our D&D group planned a AU in which our characters play D&D. Sometimes it be like that.
Both Jonathan and Marcus are very much into metal music, though they like different genres. The one band that they both like is Powerwolf!
Marcus has a pet cane toad (as you can see in the big pic), while Jonathan has a pet tortoise. The dog that you see in the second drawing is Eryn's (she's Marcus' bff).
In that drawing, the signs say: "total ban on gay", "the violating gay", and "ser Doggo, the witness".
Marcus confessed his feelingw with an handwritten poem left in Jonathan's letterbox. Jonathan replied with another letter, rejecting his feelings in the most tactful way that he could think of. Still, the situation was very embarassing for a couple of months, and they stopped talking during that time. They started talking again when they began playing D&D together.
