Hi everyone,
now that the usual storm after the latest release has calmed down again, I thought it'd be a good time to share what lies ahead. The first season of Summer In The City is entering the final stretches towards the big Steam release. I've already put myself into overdrive mode, working relentlessly on finishing the game until August. Besides completing 0.80 I also spent the past few weeks writing all remaining scenes for versions 0.90 and 1.0 and already rendered the first two scenes with Sam. I have a very clear vision on how to conclude this first season and all that remains to do is creating the renders and putting it all together.
I had to make the tough decision to incorporate 0.90 directly into the final 1.0 release instead of releasing it as a single update as usual, otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep my scheduled Steam release. I still have to send it over to the Steam staff for testing, which should be done at the very least three weeks prior to release. There are also a few minor changes I will have to make in order to follow Steam's guidelines, mostly when it comes to UI elements. The story itself will remain untouched of course, unless Steam finds something problematic, which is highly unlikely.
Yes, the next few weeks will be extraordinarily stressful, filled to the brim with endless nights but the excitement and your appreciation for Summer's story will make me endure anything. I hope you will accept my apology for not being too active during that time. I will keep posting the regular news segment, keeping you in the loop, sharing fun and spicy previews as well as creating some more custom renders for my lovely shitballs (haha), but there won't be much time for anything else I'm afraid. Things will go back to normal as soon as I begin the work on season two, shortly after the Steam release.
Oh wait, there's actually one more tiny thing I'm working on. I've already mentioned it in a previous post. I'm currently putting together a little goodie bag including a poster of your choice (from selected renders), some fun and stupid stickers of our beloved characters you may add to the walls of your favorite pub's restroom and a physical copy of Summer In The City's first season on DVD. I will be giving away 10 of these to lucky paid members. I wish I could do more, but I can't really afford it yet unfortunatly. Let's see how the Steam sales go, maybe I will be able to increase the number. I've already ordered some test prints and they came out pretty damn good in my opinion. Still working on the stickers and the DVD cover. I have someone helping me with the goodie bag, so this burden lies not entirely on my shoulders alone for a change, which is nice.

I'm gonna leave you to it then. Have a fun weekend everyone. Thank you all for having faith in me and my little game. It means the world to me! Much love!
