New workstation - update

Hi everyone,

as mentioned in my previous News post, I am currently in the process of establishing a new workstation for myself, which will improve my working conditions greatly and benefits you by increasing the quality of "Summer In The City".

Things are not going as smooth as I hoped for unfortunately. The new mainboard I purchased seems to have some issues with recognizing certain RAM sticks. I've been trying to get my new system to work since Friday evening, to no avail. I can't even list all the things I've tried without boring you to death. I have hardly had any sleep this weekend.

All I can say is that I'm pissed beyond reason. It's not a cheap system, quite the opposite actually. I've built a few PCs in my life, and I've never ran into issues like that before. I hate to give up, but I can't afford to spend any more days with this. I need to get back to work on the next update, so I will hand the new PC over to a professional tomorrow and let him check it thoroughly. Wish me luck that he can fix it asap. I hope I won't have to switch out the board. That would cost me another couple of days at the very least.

You might wonder why I'm telling you this. I like to be as transparent as possible and this situation also had an effect the development by putting me behind my schedule for a couple of days. It also affects some new benefits I have planned for most tiers. I can't officially offer them as long as the new system isn't running properly. And I need to vent, haha.

I was so looking forward to finally post my first 8K renders for you. Ah, well... let's book this under "shit happens" I guess. I'll keep you updated on the situation. I will share a release date for the new update this upcoming week if everything goes well. Thanks for the patience and much love!

Oh man, things have gotten even more ridiculous these past two days after handing the PC over to the tech wizard. I hope you enjoy a little drama, haha. I will post an update on the situation soon. It's utter madness! Gotta have to get back to work on my old system for the time being :(

RAM compatibility has gotten worse over the years, unfortunately. A decade ago, it was practically never a problem :/ Anyway, no rush and hopefully you'll be back at it soon :)
