I actually think this really happened in the show (behind the scenes, of course). Odalia was utterly egoistic and self-serving; she was willing to sell-out her entire race and family to gain wealth & power from Belos, just like she did with Collector, and she'll do it AGAIN in a sequel series to betray the Boiling Isles in exchange for power when The Archivists (Collector's family) and the Titan Trappers invade the Demon Realm.
