Hey guys! I hope you're all having a lovely week.
Today, for your viewing pleasure, I have for you a cottage inspired by (I'm sure you've already guessed!) the Grimm brothers' fairy-tale "Hansel and Gretel".
A delicious path of sweets and treats leads to a door made of strawberry shortcake. Who could resist taking a little nibble? Oh, are those lollies lining the walls?! Gumdrops adorning the windowsills?! Are the walls really made of gingerbread? Yes, yes they are.
I've made a few changes to the OG house: in my mind, twin gnome witches live here. I just figured wrangling children into ovens is difficult with just one set of hands, and surely even cannibalistic witches get lonely living alone in delicious houses in the middle of the woods.
The inside of the house is not made of delicious treats, because I feel like that would be impractical and irritating for the witches to have to live with. A sweetie sofa would just be sticky to sit on, and attract all manner of hair and dust! Instead, once the children have been lured in, there are lots of toys to help distract them while the doors are locked and the fire stoked.
This is just how I've imagined it though. I'd love to hear your ideas for this map!
P.S. Can you spot the abandoned teddy?
