Free, Exclusive Plans: The Riving Brake

In our most recent video on the greenwood chair, you might have seen Rob and I using a neat little riving brake made from construction lumber and black pipe. It's a genius design; small enough to be easily stored, but you stand on it to get the leverage you need. The design comes to us via Sam Beauford, who has a respected woodworking school. Rob took a class there and learned about the design.
I really wanted to share it with all of you, so Rob emailed Sam and got permission for us to draw it up. Unlike most of our plans, this is not my design, and I would never offer this for sale, but its FREE to Patrons and Patrons only.
We hope you like it!
(Also, since this is a Patron exclusive, let's try to keep the digital file in the community. Feel free to print it out and share the design with friends, but let's not share the digital file around the internet. Sam has been gracious in letting us use his brake. Let's not abuse it.)

Thanks for the plans, Rex and Sam. It would be helpful to have the thickness dimension on the lumber in this and other plans.
