Patron Version Video: The Craftsman Table Pt. 2

I’ll admit, this Craftsman Table was supposed to be a single video. I never expected it to sprawl the way it has. But doing the build “live” on camera and showing all the steps and mistakes just takes longer. I think it’s worth the effort, but I’ll let you be the judge.
Today, we’re doing the joinery. A standard half-lap would have worked, but I couldn’t resist throwing in the fancy “dovetail half-lap” we covered a few weeks ago. It’s just one more angle but it gives the whole piece a bit of flare.
In Part 3, we’ll make the top. That video is shot and Nate is hard at work editing it together. Next week, we’ll have a new Compass Rose product with early access and special Patron pricing. It’s a good one, and it’s the last new tool for several months.

My immediate takeaway from this video is that you have much stronger fingers than I do, Rex! Also, your Florip in cherry is gorgeous. Mine's walnut and I love it, but the cherry is gorgeous. I love this new slow format, as well. One question on the assembly--normally I put at least some finish on parts that are at angles to one another before I glue them up, because it's hard to get in the corners of the joins. I'm curious how you're going to tackle this.
