Free Plans: The Boot Jack

The plans are done early this week, so I wanted to get them up right away. The book jack is just a board with a few saw cuts and a little batten, but it's so useful. Make one for someone in your life!

Thanks for the idea and plans! I made one for my elderly father who has trouble getting his shoes on and off. Of course I had to make two so I kept one for myself. My wife rolled her eyes and said “that’s such a man thing” when I explained how it worked. 🤷🏻♂️

2021-12-18 15:50:30 +0000 UTCCool! Our church has a group that watches mainly over us "elderly" folks and shut-ins, and they sometimes come up short on ideas for group gifts. Last year I cleared out enough junk in my shop to make room for "mass production," and made 30 or so of these to give out to the crowd. It was kind of a "Thank you" right back at them for all the nice things they do for us. Anyway, they collaborated with one of the children's groups, and had the little kids each paint one of the boot jacks, and then they added them to the Christmas Goodie Bags. I did it anonymously, except for the leaders of our group, and they said that everyone loved them! And the kids were told what they were doing this for, so it got to be a real nice lesson for them, too! Anyway, good on ya for printing this one = it's a good filler project, too!
