Updated Plans: The DIY Saw Vise (Plus news)

Friends:

I'm happy to present another in our line of updated plans. My designer Nate D. has totally re-drafted these classic plans in Fusion 360 and we've updated them and fixed a few small errors. I think they're great, but I'll let you be the judge.

Of course, these are already up on the Discourse Plan Archive and you can find all the plans there.

And if you don't even know what Discourse is, then you need to watch our very brief video on how to use Patreon. (Really, everyone should watch it.)

Finally Work Bench Session #4 with Roy Underhill is THIS Thursday. We'll probably send out the live link tomorrow, but you can ask questions for the interview on the Roy Underhill Discussion Thread .

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Oh, no! The cast iron one is better if it's working correctly. This one is only for people who can't find/afford one. My design is pretty good, but it is wood and therefore more flexible.

Rex Krueger

Are there any benefits to using this over an old cast iron one? I picked up one at auction a couple months ago and haven't put it to use yet.

Pedro Sarsama

Anyone else getting an error when trying to login to the forums via patreon?. I'm seeing "Mismatch redirect URI" error.

Scott Benjamin

These plans are MUCH better- thank you for updating!

Geoffrey Wilson

I think we can do that!

Rex Krueger

It does have a different file name. I just thought it would help dispel confusion if there were version numbers.

Michael Bennett

You can always store it under another name...

Frans van Ballegooijen

Thanks for revising the plans. I went on Discourse and could only find the old plans. These look much better. Can I ask a small favor tho'? Can you put a version number in the file name, or even on the plans? Thanx for everything you do for us supporters.

Michael Bennett

Wow Rex!! You continue to excel. Thanks for the great plan!!! Again.

Alan Smith

Hey! Somewhat unrelated, but I really want to thank you for how many y great things you've done for your patrons lately. Even as a 2$ level, I feel like this subscription is completely worth it for me, and I'm still so happy to support you
